The teens emerged from the woods and huddled in front of the dark, abandoned cottage, their eyes as round as the full moon overhead. The brilliant light illuminated the sagging stairs, the floor boards rotted away after many years of disrepair.
"Should we go inside?" Meg whispered, barely loud enough for anyone to hear over the chirp of the crickets.
